Par 3 Early Game Ideas

The tricky part of being level 4 is our limited access to clubs for par 3 holes. Our irons are likely not powerful enough to reach all of them, but we can try! Here’s a few very early game ideas, focused around Kinship and High Flight. If you’re lucky enough to already have pulled Lodestar and Trailblazer, you can try putting either of those in the #4 slot to the left of Jumpstart! You’ll have to utilize Jumpstart to have a chance at reaching the holes this early on. More on Jumpstart in the next section!

Jumpstart and Commonlaw

These two clubs are big milestones for level 4 and 5 players, as Jumpstart provides your driver with a huge power boost, assuming you’ve located it in the right place in your bag. And Commonlaw gives your whole setup more control. We highly recommend putting these in your bag to give the necessary boosts for the other clubs of your choice! Commonlaw can be located in any position, but Jumpstart must be to the right of the club you want to provide more power to.

Outset (Par 3-4 and 5 maybe)

Outset is a great early game driver for big distances. Plan to follow up your drive with a wedge chip-in for a two stroke eagle or birdie. This early strategy is more useful for par 3s and 4s. As we level up, however, we will see longer drives for par 5 holes. Since Outset chains into wedges, our 2nd shot should be with the wedge of your choice with the boosted stats! Here’s one early level 4 example! Sandblast gets big boosts for landing in the sand, so aim for bunkers here! Ranger adds to Outset’s power too!

Honorable Mentions Starting at Lvl 4!

Some other drivers you might pull at level 4 include Conqueror (which chains into putters), Skyfury (an amazing Epic club that launches high over water and out of bounds areas), or Rebound (which gives you one supercharged bounce when you hit the fairway). You can also try to tee off with some hybrids to see how those go, but likely you’ll still want to use Jumpstart to boost them. These are much more accessible clubs, so if you pull a Legendary or Mythical club, go for it, though this guide is mainly more basic to Epic clubs.

One additional note: Green Demon unlocks very early in the game, but it is a difficult club to use, especially for new players and even for many high level players. If you’re going to try it out, the key is to keep the ball on a straight path from the tee to the green over the fairway. It will not work well, or at all, for holes that don’t have a direct, unobstructed line along the fairway to the cup. Your best bet is to just avoid using it in early levels.

Trouble With the Wind?  These Will Help!

By the time you hit level 4, you should have gotten (or will soon get) these Corvid brand clubs. Several Corvid clubs have the ability to reduce the strength of the wind on other clubs in your bag, making your shots easier to aim. Many of the bags that we’ll be looking at next introduce our first use of Corvid clubs like the Rook putter, the Conspiracy wood, and the Divebomb iron.
