Newbie Progression Guide

Introduction

If you’ve downloaded PGA Tour Golf Shootout and are wondering, “How can I make the most out of my progression right out of the gate?”, this guide is for you!

From the beginning tutorial through level 5, we’re here to give you all the best tips, bag ideas, and more! Let this guide be your personal reference for bag creation as you progress! Most important of all is, HAVE FUN! This isn’t meant to be a definitive approach, but suggestions and ideas to be creative and enjoy the game in your own way.

Getting Started

First, it’s important to note that all clubs in the game have special abilities. To learn what each club does and how it can affect other clubs, just click on them in your inventory for the details about where to place them in a bag for maximum bonuses.

Whether you’re level 3 or just hit level 4 and have yet to open packs for more variety, a great way to start is by sticking with the clubs you already have until you pull new ones from packs! Keep up the grind!

In this setup, we’ve placed Endeavor in between Homestead and Groundskeep in order to boost our initial driving power off the tee, but feel free to put Homestead in the middle for a better putting boost! All Willoughsby brand clubs (the ones with the tan and maroon colors) are boosted when next to each other in the bag.

Use this bag or something similar until you unlock more clubs. We need to open packs as often as possible to get as many new clubs as we can!  We can also spend our hard-earned silver on clubs in the red Pro Shop tab (1) as well. You can earn extra silver by going to Extra Rewards (2) right above the free pack section! We can speed up pack opening times by clicking on the Open Early button underneath an unopened pack (3). Also, watch ads when possible to get more free silver, gold, and even packs, too!

The Navigator Starter Set

(Par 3-5 holes)

Once Navigator is owned, it can help us push through early ranks quickly with its big boost to woods and hybrids to approach the green on our second shot! In this example bag we’ve paired it with High Flight and Neon Impulse, along with Kinship and Homestead. Swapping High Flight out for Jumpstart works, too! You can even just get an initial mini drive with Navigator just to safely hit fairway, then if you put Neon Impulse left of Jumpstart for even more distance on your 2nd shot!
