Windstrike Stopper

When we first introduced the Windstrike Stopper bag, Gearshift had not yet been added to the game. We figured it was time to revisit the setup by highlighting a couple of much better options that have now become available.

The first one, shown above, is practically perfect in every way. Windstrike has enough power and accuracy to easily reach every par 4 green and probably 90% of the par 5’s. Between Gearshift all the way on the left and Maelstrom next to Meteor, you’ve got a very respectable amount of bounce reduction. Conspiracy in the five slot keeps the wind speeds manageable. If you’re facing very strong winds on a particular hole, you could temporarily swap Maelstrom and Conspiracy so that Conspiracy is getting double wind reduction.

The doubled Maelstrom option is providing Windstrike with more spin, which gives you additional finessing abilities for tricky pin locations that might be hidden behind the rough.

For the ultimate in stopping power, this is the version you want to go with. You’re getting triple the bounce reduction from Gearshift, a doubled Maelstrom and Cyclotron to the right of Windstrike. Driving with this setup is like using an Earth ball without actually using an Earth ball.  The one big caveat with this version is that there’s no built-in wind reduction, which means wind will be a problem. The best way to deal with that is to load up a Turbino ball.

Last but not least is the bonus Windstrike Stopper par 3 edition that is 100% worthy of filling a permanent spot in your arsenal of bag setups. Distance-wise, it’s good up to around 310-ish yards and has the perfect mix of bounce and wind reduction that’s ideal for nearly every par 3 hole in the game. Play it with no spin and line it up so the aiming circle is about 40 feet from the pin. Once you dial this in, you should see your ace count go up dramatically. This is a perfect option for tourney par 3 holes, especially when paired up with Earth or Hardcore balls. Electros, too, even.
